About Bringalong

Invitations that are just a link. Here is who builds it and how it pays for itself.

Bringalong is a small, independent invitation tool. It exists because the alternatives either ask your guests to make an account before they can say yes, or bury the reply button under a carousel of upsells.

The one design rule

A guest should be able to answer in one tap, on a phone, on bad hotel wifi, without reading anything first. Everything else on the invitation page is arranged around that: the date in words, the address, the reply buttons, then the extras. No modal asking them to register, no newsletter box, no app banner.

Why there are no accounts

An account means a password, a reset flow, an email address we then have to look after, and a session that expires at the wrong moment. A long random link does the same job for an event that lives for a few weeks. The tradeoff is real and we would rather say it plainly: lose the organiser link and we cannot get it back for you, because we have no way to prove the event was yours.

Money

Nothing is charged today. If paid features arrive they will be cosmetic, something like extra themes or a custom link, and the parts that matter will stay free: the RSVP, the bring list, the draw, the export. The guest page will never carry advertising, because a guest page that sells something to your friends is not your invitation any more.

Data

We store what you type into the invitation and what guests type into the reply form. We do not ask guests for an email address or a phone number, because we never send them anything. Events are deleted ninety days after the event date. The privacy page has the specifics.
